Click on link to find out more Description: This position works with the art supplies needed for our 4 outreach programs, as well as other programming like school tours and family programs. Tasks include: pre-inking papers, cutting materials to size, making photocopies, packing envelopes and making examples. A general interest in art and art materials is preferred.
This is a socially-distant position working with art supplies, and is best suited for an individual who can work alone, although there will always be a staff member close by. Grade: 11-12 Dates: Monday, Tuesdays, Wednesday, 3-5pm. Dates and times have some flexibility. The Capstone Mentorship Program is designed to support Grade 12 students interested in the arts in completing their cumulative project for Career Education 12. Students selected for the program will be matched with staff and/or artists from Vancouver Opera. Mentorships are available in every area of the company including artist development, arts administration, and production. Registration will be ongoing until the program is at capacity. Office Work: SurreyCares Community Foundation willing to offer a pair of students the chance to work together on various task. Will be mostly remote with occasional visits to the office (Burnaby North location) , but they practice social distancing and mask wearing. Come as a pair and speak to Mr Montgomery. South Burnaby charitable gift store will take volunteers. No experience necessary and flexible hours. Sasen Homes: A local home reno and building company has both office admin work experience and construction site work experience available. We are still setting this experience up but if you are interested in either option see Mr Montgomery in CP.
Signature Recruiting will take a student for a part-time, remote work experience. You must be confident making telephone calls, be able to use general office computer programs, social media, and be able to work with some independence. It's a business admin and marketing job. You'll help them with various tasks between now and June and log your own work experience hours. Great opportunity for someone interested in business and entrepreneurship. [email protected] Job Descriptions below: Our volunteer activities include phone banking, mainstreeting, and flyering. For phone banking, we will connect via email and they will receive the phone lists online. All of our volunteers will also be invited to join a zoom meeting during the phone bank shift so that our staff can answer any questions during the meeting. For mainstreeting, volunteers will be cheering outside while holding NDP signs. Locations vary, but will likely be around Kingsway and Willingdon areas. Masks will be required for mainstreeting. Lastly, for flyering, volunteers will receive the address lists via email and drop flyers off accordingly. We will ensure that safety COVID protocols are followed for our volunteers.
