Q: Does work experience satisfy the "career-life exploration" requirement of the new CLC 12 course ?
A: YES!
Q: How can I get work experience?
A: There are two ways and both start with completing the Work Experience Request Form.
(You can find this on the FORMS page to the left)
1. If you have your own employer, fill in the employer’s info in detail and include your schedule.
2. If you want to request one of the school’s employers fill in the top section of the form with your top
three choices of both the employers and dates. Please note most employers offer regular work hours
(ie. 9-5).
Q: When can I complete my 80 hours?
A: You can start getting credit for work experience in Grade 10
Q: Can I use paid work for work experience credit?
A: Please speak to a CP advisor and we will do our best to help you
Q: What are service hours?
A: They are volunteer hours completed in school and cannot be used for work experience. See Student
Services on the 3rd floor for a recording sheet.
