Volunteer Form Link Options Available 1) PRE-FESTIVAL: DECEMBER 4 - 19 WORKSHOP VOLUNTEERS Join us in our open workshop to work with artists and help with a variety of workshop tasks including lantern repairs, material preparation, and all manner of hands-on activities- no experience necessary! Roundhouse Community Centre December 4-19: Drop in any time between noon and 8:00 PM weekdays, and 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM weekends to assist artist Joey Mallett with lantern preparation or lantern classes in the Mezzanine Workshop. 2) THE DAY BEFORE THE FESTIVAL: DECEMBER 20 Please register to volunteer to help create the magic by setting up a venue in your preferred location. Tasks include hanging fabric, lanterns and lights, creating beautiful décor, and generally preparing the spaces for the celebration to come! 3) FESTIVAL DAY AND NIGHT: DECEMBER 21 Enjoy solstice by helping with this community celebration! Tasks include setting up lantern installations, creating one of the two Labyrinths, assisting inside the venues while the festival is in full swing, leading a procession, or celebrating the longest night by staying late to help clean up. 4) THE DAY AFTER THE FESTIVAL: DECEMBER 22 Enjoy the afterglow! We would LOVE to have you come help pack away all the magical bits and pieces or get them organized at Secret Headquarters (home of the Secret Lantern Society). |
